Antalya Aquarium, which is one of the most visited places in Antalya, was opened to visitors on 15 August 2012. A total of 64 tank aquariums in the Antalya Aquarium have a water volume of 6,800 cubic meters. The tunnel aquarium in the centre of the building has a length of 131 meters and a width of 3 meters. In this way, the structure, which is the largest tunnel Aquarium in the world, has been set up with a plane, ship and submarine wreckage of real dimensions. In the Antalya aquarium, besides the main tank, more than 40 different Aquarium tanks were placed in different themes along with specially designed Aquarium tanks for sharks. As you walk through the world’s largest underwater tunnel tank, sharks and stingrays passes over you.
Each of the water tanks in the Aquarium is decorated with different concepts. You can watch fish circulating around decorative objects that refer to different parts of the world, such as the Indian Ocean,the Pacific oceans, the Nile, the Red Sea, the Atlantic, the Amazon and the Asian rivers. One of the most popular activities in the Antalya Aquarium is shark feeding. The time of feeding is usually about noon, but this time of feeding varies. The distance between Antalya Aquarium and Antalya Airport is 15km. Using bus 600 and 800, you can reach 5M Migros, which is a few minutes walk from the aquarium.
