The Temple of Apollo is located on the southern end of the Side county, east of the port. The Temple of Apollo is 75 km away from Antalya and 7 km away from Manavgat. Let’s start with explaining who Apollo is. Apollo, a mythological God, is also known to have prophetic ability. Apollo (Apollon) is the Son of Zeus and the twin brother of Artemis. In Roman mythology, it is the only God whose name never changed. It is believed that he played a golden lyre, had a silver bow, was a good Archer, and taught medicine to people. It is claimed that the arrows that are emitted like sun rays have both sick and healing effects. Temple of Apollo, located in Side district of Antalya, was built by the people living in the region to commemorate Apollo.
