Karaalioglu Park is located in the centre of Antalya. The biggest feature of Karaalioglu Park is that, it is one of the best places to watch the magnificent view Mediterranean Sea, the coast of Konyaalti and the Beydağları (Mountains) same time. Karaalioglu park was opened on 29 April 1943 and was established on a total of 140,000 square meters. Another important feature of Karaalioglu Park is that it is in the heart of Ramadan activities. Free public concerts and dinners are offered every year during Ramadan. In addition, in Karaalioglu Park, during the month of Ramadan and in some months thousands of products from every city of Turkey are sold in hundreds of stands.

Here you can drink a cup of tea or cold drinks as well as simit or buy a Semaver (special Turkish tea pot which have around 10-15 glasses of tea). While drinking your tea from semaver, you can have a pleasant conversation with your friends and enjoy the view of Antalya. Semaver prices may vary according to the Tea Garden you go to, the price of the 4-person semaver is usually between 20-25 TL. Within Karaalioglu park, there are three avenues parallel to each other in the east-west direction of the sea. These streets end with a three terraces on the seashore. In the late 1970s, some special sculptures were performed for Karaalioglu Park. In this scope, the statue of “worker and Child” constructed by the sculptor Mehmet Aksoy on the second terrace, the Statue of “Hand” of Kuzgun Acar on the third terrace, and the statue of “Don Quixote” of Cahvar Göktaş among the second and third terraces. On 2010, a statue named “Nazım Hikmet in prison” was opened by the sculptor Mehmet Aksoy. One of the most special parts of Karaalioglu Park is the “lover’s tree”. The countless couples were sitting under this tree whispering the words of love to each other. Karaalioglu Park, located between the stadium and Kaleici in the centre of Antalya, attracts the attention of local and foreign tourists. Karaalioglu Park is the ideal relaxation area because it is close to the city centre as well as close to the historical buildings.

After drinking tea and resting in Karaalioğlu Park, you can visit the historical buildings and monuments in the nearby area ; Hidirlik Tower, Broken Minaret, Fluted Minaret, Clock Tower, Old Harbour, Hadrian’s Gate, Kaleiçi and Atatürk’s House. As an additional note, in the middle of Karaalioglu Park, the amusement park is set up at certain times of the year.
