Konyaalti Beach, one the longest public beach in the world with 7km long walking paths and seating places, is a place surrounded by many great hotels, numerous bars, museums, shopping malls, cafés, nightclubs and entertainment venues. Konyaalti Beach, a pebble beach, is 4.5 km long and 70 meters wide and constitutes the public beach with blue flag. Konyaalti Beach consists of free and paid sections. Every year millions of local and foreign tourists cool off in the warm waters of Konyaalti Beach. Some parts of Konyaalti beach there is a fine sand dune, but in general the pebble texture is dominant. However, due to its cleanliness, ease of transportation and location, it is one of the most preferred beaches.
The best time to go to konyaaltı beach is in the morning. Water is very clean and there is not much wave. The waves are getting too much in the evening. There are plenty dressing cabinets, toilets and showers at konyaalti beach, which you can use of for free. Konyaalti Beach is an ideal place to swim for the summer months. Even on winter months when there is no rain, Konyaalti beach is an ideal place for picnic. Put your tea in your flask and take your sandwiches and sit on pebbles by the sea and have a nice picnic with a great view. Now my personal views… I don’t know why, but most of the people find konyaalti beach better than Lara Beach! I want sand under my toes, I don’t want my toes burned by pebbles in the afternoon heat! In the past years, when I went swimming to konyaalti beach, people entered the sea in their clothes. This is something I don’t want to see. Also, if you have a beautiful woman with you, usually men look at her like they’ve never seen any women in their lives. This is my opinion. I’m not going to go swimming to Konyaalti Beach for almost 10 years. Over the past few years, several changes have been made at konyaalti beach. I hope that in the next few years Konyaalti beach will be a decent place like Lara Beach.
