Simena is the ancient Lycian city, which is within the borders of Kas district of Antalya and which is today known as Kaleköy. The first ancient ruins that can be seen when the castle is reached is the theatre, which is one of the most important ruins of Simena, which has a seating capacity of about 300 people, with 7 rows of seats carved into the rock. Rock Tombs, water cisterns, churches and other remains are also located in this historic castle. The geographical location of the region in which Simena is located has the conditions that allow for many important social activities besides the famous festivals. Boat trips, nature walks, water sports, bicycle tours are among the social activities. Most of the businesses located in the ancient city of Simena are operated by local people. You can eat the world’s finest fish at Simena’s local restaurants. Accommodation prices may vary depending on where you will stay, room prices are usually between 150-300 TL per person per day. Although it is a bit difficult to reach the ancient city of Simena, which is about 200 kilometres away from Antalya, it is the first place to be seen before you die among the historical places within the borders of Antalya province.
